Uugghhhh. Cold season is upon us at our house and we are all sick. I am climbing out of my bed long enough to post this Monday Inspiration that is feeling much more cheerful then I am right now.

I decided to use Birthday Mae from Some Odd Girl for this card. The paper is from Echo Park Paper & Glue Set. I also colored it with my Copics

Olivia used the adorable Birthday Mae from Some Odd Girl. I love how Olivia colored her hair to match the colors in the Designer paper she chose! That flower with the cupcake bling center is so cute! Love it! After last week...I could use a cupcake or 12 myself - LOL!

I will also be entering this into the following challenges:

Final GDT Little Darlings Post

Hello again everyone. Olivia here and today is my final GDT post for Little Darlings GDT. I decided to use one of my favorite stamps from the Little Darlings Collection called Autumn Friends. This line is one of my favorites and I have so many of these image. With my favorite season on hand now, I knew this stamp was just perfect to use. I colored her with my Copics and add paper from my stash (three different paper set used here). I made the fabric flower from my leftover lace I had.

I have been honored to be here for the last two months and want to thank everyone at LDRS for this chance to showcase these awesome images.

Loves Rubberstamps-Show us your Fall colors

It is time for another challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenges. We are lucky enough to also be sponsored by Kenny K Designs and our usual fabulous gift certificate prize as well.

This week's challenge is: Show Us Your Fall Colors

I personally love the Fall.

Sorry for my image issues...my camera is being a bit funky lately and giving me a hard time with these cloudy days.  I decided to use Kenny K's Sweet Melissa stamp and colored the image with my Copics.
My paper is Simple Stories Harvest Lane. I created my own "wreath" embellishment but using one of my bottlecaps and stamped out a 1 inch circle from the paper pad to place in the center. I then added Flower Soft Autumn Collection all around the edges.

Loves Rubberstamps-Monday Morning Inspiration-School Layout

Back again for my Monday Morning Inspiration over at Loves Rubberstamps. Today I am showcasing another layout I did for my baby's first day of Kindergarten (actually on time for this one).

Since she is the youngest and finally in school with her sisters she was very excited to go. No tears at all (just Mommy) but she patted my hand and said "Don't worry mama, I am still your baby".

I used the Echo Park-Paper & Glue Paper Kit for the layout and all stickers are from that kits as well.  The stamps are from the CC Design-School Logos set.  I was inspired from a layout from PageMap site for this one.  Just loving all the pages I am getting done lately and can not wait to finish out some more.

I will be entering this one into the following challenges:

Docerela Challenge-Anything Goes

Yumi and Fumi Altered Candle Tutorial

Hello everyone,

It is time for my mini-showcase here at Yumi & Fumi. Today I decided to do a picture tutorial on altering a candle. I love to do this project since it something that looks so difficult and cool but is very simple.

Here are the supplies you will need: Candle, Scissors, heat gun, stamp, ink pad, block, wax paper, tissue paper (and forgot to include in the picture your Copics)
Next you stamp your image onto the tissue paper. I am using Yumi and Bookbag for this one.

Then color as you wish. I used Pink Shades: R85-83-81, Gray C5,3,1, Skin: E53,51,50 and Hair E27,25,23. I also added a touch of stickle. Because you are coloring on tissue paper, keep it very light and it will BLEED through the back. I also add stickle (small amounts if you wish) at this step. Give it a little to dry.
Once done, trim your image close.

Next place your image where you want it on the candle, tightly wrap the wax paper around the image (keep it smooth). At this point take your heat gun and quickly run it over the image. You will see the tissue paper melt into the candle (this whole process take like 30 seconds). Do not melt too long or you will distort your picture.

The Voila....it is done! You have a cool looking altered candle. My oldest has already called dibs on this one.

Hope you all enjoyed this tutorial. Any questions feel free to ask.

Loves Rubberstamps-Recipe Challenge

It is time for a new challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps

This one is a bit more tricky cause it is a recipe challenge.

This week's challenge is:
1, 2, 3
Have 1 Image, 2 Designer Papers
&
3 Embellishments

Can I start off with I do not like to cook....as my kids like to joke that dinner is done when the smoke alarm goes off.  Even with that, here is my inspiration for the challenge.

I was in the mood to dust off my Magnolia and bling it out when I did this one.  I used Authentique papers, Everyday paper stack. The shape was created with my Cricut (Art Philosophy cart) and the border was made with the MFT Dainty Lace Die. My three embellishments are the doilies from my stash, prima flowers and bling from my stash. Of course colored with my Copics (sorry for the bad lighting on my end).

Loves Rubberstamps-Monday Inspiration

Happy Monday.  It is another day we are off to school and having a hectic morning already. It is Monday so time for my inspirational post for Loves Rubberstamps.

Today I am showcasing some of the great stamps and sentiments available from some of the newer companies added at Loves Rubberstamps, Make it Crafty and Riley and Company.

The stamped images is from Make it Crafty stamp called Lucy's Broken Dolly..where is the dolly you asked, well I edited it out.  I just wanted that adorable expression.  When I saw this sentiment from Riley and Company Funny Bones (those ones crack me up) I thought it fit beautifully. This sentiment is called Someone Told Me Im Immature.  Sometimes you just need a card to make your giggle. Of course I colored the image with my Copics

The paper is from Authentique Everyday Collection Paper Pad.

Loves Rubberstamps-Monday Inspirations

Sorry for the late start. It is my turn for the Monday Morning Inspiration at Loves Rubberstamps. Just got back from the vacation on Sunday and today was the first day of school for all my girls. I do not think they appreciate me singing "It is the best day ever" theme song from Spongebob on the walk down on school.

I decided to use some random pictures from our beach days this summer to remember the great days we had.

I used a fabulous set from Echo Park called Fun in the Sun.  I used my Spellbinders for the circles and the CC Designs Starfish and Shell Die Cutter. All my pictures are borders with Bazzill Banana Split Cardstock. I love the sticker sets that come with the set and used the cricut to make the seahorse.

My littlest one starts kindergarten this year. We still have half day kindergarten and she is in the afternoon session so I am sure it will be teary eye day later today as I walk her down as all my "babies" are now in school.  Have a great Monday everyone.

I will also be entering this layout into the following challenges:

Yumi & Fumi Handmade Challenge-Back to School

It is time for a new challenge over at Yumi and Fumi Handmade Challenge. Our challenge this time is:

BACK TO SCHOOL

I can not believe it already time for back to school. This is a big year for us here as my little one starts kindergarten and is now in school with my 4th and 2nd grader! No more "mommy days" for me as we used to call the days she was not in 1/2 day preschool.

Of course this great stamp, Yumi with Bookbag, is perfect for this theme.  I used some paper by Echo Park called Paper & Glue (a school theme one) and added some brad embellishments I had for some time now.

I love Rosemary technique for packing plaid and gingham with Copics so I had to so that here. I colored this image  with my Copics. Now remember the new rules that ANY STAMP IMAGE FROM ANY COMPANY CAN PARTICIPATE as long as your image fits the theme.

Can not wait to see your great back to school creations.

Happy Monday everyone. Hopefully most of you are enjoying the holiday weekend and have a day off.

I am still in the layout mode right now and decided to do one with some great graduation pictures I got of my little one.  Now this is her preschool graduation...can you tell them know a sucker for her baby pictures is everywhere but she look so cute I couldnot help but by them.

Again I was inspired by a layout from Let's Scrap and I also used the Echo Park Beautiful Life Paper pak.

Thanks for stopping by.
